Our amazing landscape should be viewed from a horse! We are so lucky here in Cavan to be home to many riding schools and stables. Cavan equestrian centre is well known for its international events. Derryham Stables provide horse riding lessons, breaking and schooling of horses and livery. Mount Prospect Stables, is a small family-run horse and pony farm that prides itself on the ‘personal touch’, providing riding lessons, pony camps, countryside rides, livery, and arena hire. Riversdale Stables provide pony and horse-riding lessons for children and adults. They offer hacking on quiet country roads. They also organise camps and birthday parties. Hose riding is a perfect activity as a family, for a group of friends or for a romantic day out!
