Shopping in the centre of Cavan town is mainly located along Main Street and Bridge Street.

There are many small boutiques and shoe shops in Cavan town. The town has some high quality gift and craft shops including Cavan Gifts and Connolly Brothers on Main Street and Chapter One Living on the Dublin Road. Farmers markets in the town take place on Friday mornings from 11pm – 2pm in the Market Square and on Saturday mornings at McCarrons Shop on Farnham Road. The Cottage Market takes place on the first Saturday of the month at the Courthouse in Ballyconnell or can be ordered online at The Cottage Market Cavan | The Local Green Box Cavan
