Cavan Arts Festival 16th – 19th May

Cavan County Fleadh  31st May – 3rd  June

The Gathering, Fleadh Cheoil, Co_master

Get ready to tap your toes and join in the festivities during the Cavan Fleadh Cheoil, an annual celebration of  traditional music, song, and dance. Musicians and performers  converge to compete, while spectators are treated to impromptu sessions and performances that showcase the rich musical heritage of Cavan and its people. Killeshandra Camino Calling 15th June

Killeshandra Camino Committee is looking forward to welcoming you on the Camino walk which will take place on the 15th of June 2024. The route will take walkers on a journey around the picturesque town of Killeshandra and its environs and will cover 35.5km or 20km (your choice). Along the route, you will get a chance to taste some of Cavan’s homegrown produce like Ice-Cream Treats, Drummully Boxty and more! Find out more and book your ticket here.

The Cottage Market Summer Market 15th-16th June

One definitely not to miss this year is the Cottage Market Summer Market in Cavan town. From 12 -6 pm both days,  taste and experience what County Cavan has to offer. This open-air, summer food celebration takes place on the beautiful grounds of Con Smith Park, Cathedral Road, Cavan. Bring the family, a picnic blanket and kick back for the day! Enjoy over 50 vendors, DineYard serving “Al fresco style brunch”, Live Music and Art Performers, Talks, Workshops, Demonstrations, Children’s Activities and more. Find out more here.

Sunset Paddle to Clogh Oughter Castle 21st June

Join the Cavan Adventure Centre Team on a special guided sunset paddle to Clogh Oughter Castle, on a small island on Lough Oughter, a complex maze of waterways, islands and ninety small lakes along the course of the River Erne. Lough Oughter is home to a huge variety of birds, to include mallard, tufted duck and in the winter months, wigeon and pochard.
