Cavan Town will host the County Fleadh Cheoil over the June Bank Holiday Weekend in 2026. The weekend events will begin on Friday night with both Céilí and Set Dancing competitions.
On Saturday and Sunday, competitions will take place in St. Clare’s National School and will include all instrumental categories — solos, duets, trios, grúpaí ceoil, and Céilí Bands. Competitions in singing, lilting, storytelling, and comhrá Gaeilge will also form an important part of the programme.
A Set Dancing Céilí will be held in the Townhall Arts Centre on Saturday, May 30th at 9pm and the Fleadh will conclude with a concert in the Townhall on Sunday 31st May, showcasing musicians and dancers from the Cavan Town CCÉ Branch.
Everyone is warmly invited to come along and enjoy this wonderful cultural celebration in our town.
Táimid go léir ag tnúth leis an bhFleadh agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh sibhse an-taitneamh as an deireadh seachtaine.
